Liberty announced the release of its DS42 TeamUp+ Series Multiscreen BYOM Switcher / Extender, a next-generation collaboration platform designed to simplify connectivity and enhance flexibility across modern meeting and education environments. The DS42 system enables users to connect their laptops or tablets through a single USB-C cable for instant access to displays, cameras, microphones, speakers, and network resources.

“As organizations continue to embrace bring-your-own-meeting (BYOM) workflows, users expect to walk into a room, plug in their laptop or tablet and instantly access displays, cameras, microphones, speakers and network resources – without adapters or IT assistance,” said Warren Clark, vice president and general manager for Liberty. “The DS42 TeamUp+ Series was engineered to meet that expectation, providing a seamless, single-cable connection that makes professional AV experiences as intuitive as a personal workstation.”

The DS42 consolidates video, audio (analog and Dante), USB 3.0, Ethernet and power delivery into a single USB-C connection. Liberty’s receiver units can extend those signals up to 100 meters, offering additional USB ports and a second display output. With native multi-display extension support for both PC and Mac devices, the DS42 enables easy screen mirroring or extension across multiple displays without software configuration.

Designed for durability, the DS42’s tabletop form factor suits enterprise, higher education, and training environments. By combining multiple signal types into a single USB-C pathway, Liberty said it reduces installation complexity, creates cleaner workspaces, and ensures consistent user experiences across shared meeting rooms.

“The DS42 TeamUp+ Series was designed to make hybrid collaboration effortless,” Clark added. “By removing the barriers of distance, dongles and device limitations, we’re giving users a simple, reliable and future-ready way to connect – no instructions required.”

Liberty said the DS42 TeamUp+ Series supports the growing global adoption of USB-C as a unified standard for data, power, and video transmission, helping organizations prepare for the ongoing convergence of AV and IT infrastructure.
