LG Business Solutions has introduced a new series of 4,000-nit high-brightness displays specifically designed for visibility in window-facing installations. Featuring a thin profile, slim bezels and smart brightness control with ambient light detection and technology that allows visibility through polarized sunglasses, the LG XS4F series of 1080p displays deliver superior performance in bright and sun-lit environments.

The XS4F series, available in 49- and 55-inch models, also features quarter-wave plate technology, which solves the issue of viewing digital displays through polarized sunglasses. In addition to the visibility benefits, both the 49-inch (49XS4F) and 55-inch (55XS4F) models can be oriented either horizontally or vertically and include the powerful and easy-to-use webOS 3.0 smart signage platform, enabling use of the display without a separate media player. The 49XS4F features a depth of 3.3 inches and slim bezels that measure 6.5 millimeters on the display’s short sides, and 9mm on the long sides. The 55XS4F features a depth of 3.4 inches and bezels measuring 9.9 millimeters and 12 millimeters, respectively.

Both models are designed to operate in a wide range of temperatures and feature a conformal coating on the main board and power board to protect against degradation from dust, iron powder and humidity. Each XS4F display offers a variety of connectivity options, including RS-232 in/out, 8-ohm audio out, two HDMI in, DP in/out, DVI-D in, USB in, audio in, LAN, IR and light sensor, and an SD card slot.

The series’ smart brightness control can deliver enhanced power savings and ensure a display isn’t too bright for viewers as ambient light decreases. Every XS4F display features a 600×400 millimeters VESA-compliant mount interface and comes backed by a three-year limited warranty.
