Lencore Wins Platinum for Design Excellence at ADEX Awards

293(WOODBURY, NY) For the second consecutive year, Lencore has been recognized for its leadership and innovation in product design by the Awards for Design Excellence (ADEX) competition, sponsored by Design Journal magazine. This year, Lencore earned two Platinum ADEX awards for the Spectra i.Net® Engineered System Solution and the Spectra i.Net® Operating Platform (OP).

Our Engineered System Solutions provide clients with a completely packaged solution. The branded enclosure houses all of the system’s headend equipment which has been expertly pre-assembled and ready for on-site installation. Each system successfully masks intrusive speech, delivers intelligible paging and audio solutions to ensure intended audiences are well informed and comfortable in their environment. Clients have the option to choose from systems that offer sound masking, paging, audio and/or mass notification solutions.

The Operating Platform (OP) is the primary sound source that produces, equalizes and distributes the sound for all masking, audio and paging. Each OP features an integrated LCD screen that displays information, including the specific address of each OP. This address aids in locating the correct Operating Platform in the ceiling plenum and eliminates the need for as-built drawings when updating and modifying the system.

“The 2013 ADEX Awards attracted over 500 different companies submitting a record of 2,828 innovative new products,” said John Moses, Executive Director of ADEX. “The ADEX Award has recognized many outstanding product designs over the years, and Lencore’s products have earned their place among that elite group.”

“Our goal is to continually innovative product design and system solutions that offer both a high level of functionality and flexibility,” said David Smith, Director of Business & Channel Strategy. “We are honored that our products have been recognized by such a prestigious design awards program.”

All entries in each of the ADEX categories have the potential for three award levels: Platinum, Gold or Silver. Judges awarded points based on form, function and value. Total points earned determined each winner’s award level. All Platinum, Gold and Silver level products will be published in the 2013 ADEX Winners Issue of Design Journal, the international trade publication for interior designers, architects and facility managers.
