Legacy of 2013 Innovations Continues to Drive AmpliVox in 2014

AmplivoxLogo-600x280Northbrook, IL: February 2014 – AmpliVox Sound Systems finished 2013 with an impressive list of product introductions and improvements over the preceding 12 months. The innovations affected items in virtually all of AmpliVox’s product areas, including presentation lecterns, portable PA systems, megaphones, and other audio equipment. AmpliVox also partnered with several firms to integrate AmpliVox speakers with presentation technology from other manufacturers. AmpliVox plans to continue its development of new and updated products throughout 2014.

AmpliVox gained notice in 2013 for several new products that made technological advances extremely user-friendly. The Visionary Multimedia Lectern creates more dynamic presentations through a simple plug-and-play connection that directly displays graphics from a laptop on an integrated front panel screen, eliminating the need for projector screens in conference rooms and other small venues. AmpliVox’s Universal Bluetooth Audio Receiver wirelessly streams music from computers, smartphones, or tablets to any AmpliVox speaker system with an auxiliary input jack. A retro standby – the Boombox – received attention for AmpliVox’s combination of old and new technologies, enabling consumers to use a single portable unit to play audio from MP3s, CDs, radio, and even cassette tapes.

In recognition of the quality and versatility of AmpliVox sound products, several other companies selected AmpliVox’s speakers to supplement their multimedia equipments. Bretford Manufacturing offered AmpliVox’s Line Array speaker system as an integrated option to its popular EXPLORE Interactive Whiteboards, and AVTEQ included the Line Array system in connection with its teleconferencing video carts. AmpliVox was also selected as the exclusive supplier of presentation lecterns to the AVTEQ product line.

AmpliVox introduced several upgrades and new options to existing products to make them more appealing technically and aesthetically. The Digital Audio Travel Partner and Wireless PA for iPhone/iPad were offered with an expanded range of 16 UHF channels, improving connectivity and sound clarity. The Line Array speaker system was re-configured in a two-piece wireless rack mount option. Customization options were added for several lines of lecterns, including specially designed Pinnacle lecterns for military service branches. Megaphones could also be customized with logos or other identifying information.

According to AmpliVox CEO Don Roth, the consistent development of innovative new and improved products reflects the swift evolution of presentation and sound equipment technology. “The tools we use for public speaking are changing dramatically all the time,” Roth notes. “AmpliVox will continue to meet those changes with creative new products that make technology easy for our customers to apply.”
