LAVNCH WEEK 11: Day Three Recap

It’s hard to believe, but the final day of LAVNCH WEEK 11 has come and gone — and it wrapped up with a bang. From emerging digital signage strategies and collaborative meeting space design to AI ethics and long-term AV trends, Day Three was jam-packed with insights you don’t want to miss. If you haven’t caught up yet, consider this your final reminder: watch day three on demand. While you’re at it, go back and stream days one and two too — it’s all right here, ready when you are.
We kicked things off with a keynote panel on Trends Driving Digital Signage in 2025, led by Steph Beckett and featuring Jeffrey Weitzman (Navori Labs), Jay Leedy (Videri) and IV Dickson (SageNet). The panel explored the evolving role of signage in brand storytelling, audience engagement and data-driven experiences. “In terms of retail media networks, the important part is that conversation about theory vs. actual impact,” Dickson said. “There’s a lot of conversation about whether the dollars are there … I do believe that will actually be a high flyer going forward.”

Next, Steph welcomed Caleb Salomons (HOK) and Sam Kennedy (NetSpeek) for “Beyond 21:9: Rethinking the Meeting Room” — a session that challenged everything we think we know about collaboration spaces. “The requirements have changed, the desires have changed, the technology hasn’t,” Salomons said. “That’s where we run into a lot of friction.”
“When you look at how technology has changed and evolved over time, it’s often enhanced how people connect and how they collaborate. One of the things we’re grappling with with the meeting room is that although the technology is improving, it’s not necessarily improving that connection. In many ways, it’s almost degrading that connection, because traditionally they would just be in the room with you.”

Then it was time for a conversation between Gary Kayye and AVIXA CEO Dave Labuskes. In “A State of the ProAV Market,” Labuskes emphasized the importance of strategic adaptability. “All strategy is based on assumptions and beliefs … what’s hard is to have good strategy based on accurate beliefs and assumptions, and then validate those assumptions on an ongoing basis,” he said. A must-watch for anyone navigating the future of AV.
