On March 31, THE rAVe Agency Founder and Director Gary Kayye was joined by ViewSonic’s Ryan Strayer, Dan Sharpe and Chris Graefe for another installment of our LAVNCH & LEARN sessions. The session — titled “Collaborative Education and Workplace Solutions” — aimed to discuss ViewSonic’s exciting new products designed to foster collaboration in workplace and classroom environments.

Strayer, who serves as ViewSonic’s senior director of sales, kicked things off by laying out the agenda for the LAVNCH & LEARN:

  1. Introduction by Strayer
  2. Education: Hybrid Learning & Collaboration by Sharpe
  3. Enterprise: Hybrid Offices & Collaboration by Graefe
  4. Resources & Engagement by Strayer
  5. Value & Profitability by Strayer

Sharpe, a professional development trainer at ViewSonic, began his portion on hybrid learning and collaboration in classrooms by drawing on his own personal experience as an elementary school teacher, middle school teacher and vice principal.

Starting off with ViewSonic’s ViewBoard Pen Display, Sharpe shared a number of interesting collaboration products created specifically with the classroom in mind. The Pen Display and the other ViewSonic Touch Displays are personal-sized, portable collaboration interfaces that help teachers instruct and students learn remotely. The ViewBoard IFP50 — which Sharpe described as “the Cadillac” of ViewSonic displays — is a larger display that serves as an interactive and collaborative presentation tool.

Sharpe was especially excited to discuss ViewSonic’s embedded software that works across all Windows and Chrome-based platforms: the cloud-based myViewBoard software for applications like digital whiteboarding. Demonstrating the software’s interactive collaboration capabilities, Sharpe said, “The tools here really allow me to interact, right? I can really come in here and teach and show and annotate, and it brings my content to life.” Through a QR Code or link, students can activate and interact with the ViewSonic whiteboard from their personal devices, regardless of the platform they’re using.

With the LAVNCH & LEARN attendees role-playing as students and Sharpe as their teacher, he took the time to highlight the importance of teachers using collaboration technology to check in on their students’ well-being. “How do you feel today?” Sharpe asked the hypothetical students. “This is really important. We forget about this. Even though we’re virtual, there are people behind the camera.” Continuing the demonstration, Sharpe revealed the “students’” hand-drawn emoticons signifying how they were feeling.

The next presenter was ViewSonic’s director of enterprise sales, Chris Graefe. Graefe started off his segment of the LAVNCH & LEARN by discussing “the office of the future.” First noting corporate America’s transition into the hybrid workplace over the last year, he highlighted the “overwhelming success” of working remotely but said that the physical office is here to stay — just in a different way.

“The in-person collaboration will exist, but we’re just going to change how it happens,” Graefe said. Introducing the ViewBoard IFP70, Graefe described it as the “Swiss army knife” of ViewSonic’s products. He highlighted the IFP70’s versatility across both platforms and capabilities and added that the product is highly collaborative and enables employees to get work done faster — all while utilizing the aesthetically pleasing visuals that ViewSonic’s display boards are known for. Graefe also took some time to discuss ViewSonic’s non-touch devices, such as the CDE20 Series, which is available in an array of sizes and serves as a solution for presenting to both in-person employees and those working remotely.

Then, Strayer took the virtual stage to discuss integrators’ options for resources and engagement from ViewSonic. Highlighting channel marketing, virtual demos, training and education, sales engineers, education enterprise regional business managers, and special pricing deals, he assured LAVNCH & LEARN attendees that the purchase of a ViewSonic product would set them up for a personalized installation and customer service experience.

Strayer made a point to highlight the fact that ViewSonic does not sell to end users in an effort to support its valued integrators. As part of this commitment, Strayer discussed ViewSonic’s “white glove” attention approach to communicating with its customers. This approach represents a highly customizable experience for integrators, one in which ViewSonic adapts to the customers’ communication preferences to deliver the most satisfying and effective support.

ViewSonic’s LAVNCH & LEARN is available for on-demand streaming through the LAVNCH platform here.
