Kramer introduced the VS−88H2 Thursday. The VS-88H2 is an 8×8 matrix switcher for 4K@60Hz (4:4:4) HDR signals and digital audio. It reclocks and equalizes the signals and can route any one of 8 HDMI, HDCP 2.2−compliant sources (selectable) to any or all outputs simultaneously.
The VS-88H2 features independent audio routing. Any of the eight embedded digital audio inputs can be routed to any digital output, in addition to eight ARC signals, to produce an equivalent 16×12 audio matrix. (Eight embedded digital inputs + eight ARC inputs and eight digital outputs + 4 ARC outputs.) The VS-88H2 also has individual EDID management per input. It captures and stores the EDID from a display device.
The VS-88H2 has local control via front-panel switching, memory, lock and EDID buttons, and Input/Output LED display. The unit can also be controlled remotely via user–friendly embedded web pages, Ethernet, the Protocol 3000 API, and RS–232 serial commands transmitted by a PC, touch screen system or another serial controller.
Kramer’s VS-88H2 is $4,800.00.
