Kramer Electronics Releases New 8×8 Matrix Switcher
The new Kramer Electronics VS−88H2A is an 8×8 matrix switcher for 4K@60Hz (4:4:4), HDR, HDMI signals and analog/digital audio routing. The VS-88H2A re-clocks and equalizes signals and can route any one of eight HDMI, HDCP−compliant sources (selectable) to any or all outputs simultaneously.
The VS-88H2A features independent audio routing. Any embedded digital or analog audio input can be routed to any embedded digital or analog audio output in addition to 8 ARC sources to produce an equivalent 24×20 audio matrix (eight embedded digital inputs + eight analog inputs + eight ARC inputs and eight digital outputs + eight analog outputs + four ARC outputs).
The VS−88H2A has individual EDID management per input; it captures and stores the EDID from a display device. The VS-88H2A also has flexible content protection with selectable HDCP per input.
Kramer’s VS−88H2A is designed for systems that require automatic HDMI routing and lists for $5,595.
