Key Digital just launched a new hybrid-conferencing courtroom solution, Courtroom Communication System. Key Digital’s Courtroom Communication System includes both communication and document sharing, participant management via any popular videoconferencing software, management of all public and private communications and distribution of participant’s voice, video and shared laptop content. Due to the nature of courtroom proceedings, Key Digital’s KD-CCS uses Level 3 network security.

The operation of KD-CCS includes a request button for each participant, PC control software for the operator, AV routing of each participant to a single participant or to all participants, and PTZ camera control. The Key Digital Management Software (KDMS) GUI drives usage.

The turnkey, pre-configured system utilizes 1G-based Key Digital’s AV-over-IP systems with encoders for camera and laptop capture and a decoder for each participant’s monitor. Three Cat6 wires are needed from the network switch to each participant location. Given the built-in flexibility of Key Digital’s AV-over-IP, KD-CCS can be scaled for case-by-case needs.

Key Digital’s Courtroom Communication System operates in Local Model or in Video Conference Mode using any videoconferencing software. The 1080p camera provides adjustable PTZ and preset control at each station in either mode, or full-screen participant view in Local Mode. With the press of a KDMS button, participants can change from camera view to laptop share. The audio portion provides two-way audio via USB microphones for public and private communications, and uses the display’s speaker for audio, or may be integrated with an amplifier or assisted listening system if desired.
