CEDIA is the biggest show of the year for us, and we want to make sure we’re giving back to the community and our veterans in a way that truly rocks,” said Taft Stricklin, sales team manager for J+P. “We’re proud to bring the guitar giveaway back for a third year with the help of Guitars For Vets and Brian May Guitars.”
Each day during the show, J+P will give away one of three of the most recognizable guitars in the world at Booth 5344. For a chance to win, attendees must visit the booth to enter and be present during the daily 3 p.m. drawing. For each guitar given away, G4V will donate an acoustic guitar and a year’s worth of lessons to a veteran. Each winner of a Brian May guitar will have their name put on a guitar donated to the veterans.
Founded in 2007, G4V donates guitars to veterans, helping them readjust to life, cope with the effects of post-traumatic stress disorder, and find hope through the medium of music. GV4 currently operates more than 80 chapters in 40 states with the assistance of over 200 volunteers nationwide. G4V pursues its mission by providing free guitar instruction, a new acoustic guitar, and a guitar accessory kit in a structured program run by volunteers, primarily through U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs facilities and community-based medical centers.
