Jabra has announced the launch of the Perform 45 SE, a second-generation push-to-talk headset designed to support clear communication and all-day use for frontline workers in customer-facing environments.

The Perform 45 SE builds on the original Perform 45 headset with hardware updates aimed at improving call clarity, battery performance and durability in noisy, fast-paced settings such as retail stores. Jabra said the headset is primarily designed for retail teams, with additional applications across healthcare, hospitality and construction.

Jabra said the updated noise-cancelling microphone and enhanced 10mm speaker are designed to improve call clarity and reduce missed communications.

According to the company, frontline employees often work in loud environments that require quick decisions and constant communication. The Perform 45 SE adds upgraded microphone noise cancellation that removes up to 93 percent of background noise, based on internal testing, along with a more powerful speaker intended to reduce repetition during conversations.

Battery life has also been extended. Jabra said the headset delivers up to 11 hours of talk time and supports extended push-to-talk use across long or staggered shifts without requiring mid-day charging. The device features an end-user replaceable and recyclable battery, which Jabra said is intended to support sustainability initiatives and extend the overall product life cycle.

The headset is designed for shared use, with easy-to-clean surfaces and a form factor that can be worn on either ear. It includes three EarGel sizes for a more secure fit and carries an IP54 rating for resistance to dust and moisture in active work environments.

The Perform 45 SE supports push-to-talk communication through the Microsoft Teams Walkie Talkie app, Zello and Zebra Workcloud Sync. A Face2Face mode allows associates to mute incoming audio by lifting the microphone boom arm, then resume communication by lowering it.

Connectivity features include Bluetooth 5.3 with Bluetooth Low Energy and readiness for LE Audio. Jabra said the headset uses more than one-third recyclable materials and complies with the European Union’s updated Radio Equipment Directive, including wireless, cybersecurity and USB-C requirements.

For multi-device environments, the headset can be used with the Jabra Perform Charging Stand, 5-Bay, which is sold separately. The Jabra Perform 45 SE will be available starting January 2026 through Amazon and Jabra.com, with a suggested retail price of $149.99.
