i-PRO Co., Ltd., a global provider of professional security, public safety and medical solutions, announced plans to take over the wholesale and marketing functions for its products in Japan from Panasonic Connect Co., Ltd. The transition, expected to conclude on March 31, 2026, will occur following regulatory approval.

The restructuring represents a major milestone in i-PRO’s continued separation from Panasonic, which began in 2019 through a capital partnership with Polaris Capital Group Co., Ltd. While i-PRO has since operated as an independent company focused on research, development and manufacturing, its Japanese sales operations have remained under Panasonic Connect’s management.

By bringing sales and marketing in-house, i-PRO aims to create a fully integrated structure encompassing product development, production and sales. The company said the move will increase responsiveness to market demands, improve operational efficiency and enhance competitiveness within Japan’s growing security sector.

The company expects several benefits from the transition, including stronger collaboration between product development and sales, faster deployment of global solutions in Japan through personnel exchanges and improved proposal and after-sales service quality. i-PRO also plans to simplify business processes to accelerate decision-making and reduce operational overhead.

As part of the change, approximately 500 Japanese dealers currently sourcing i-PRO products through Panasonic Connect will begin purchasing directly from i-PRO starting April 1, 2026. Existing contracts with end users who buy through Panasonic Connect or Panasonic Corporation’s Electric Works Company will remain in place.

i-PRO emphasized that it will continue to support its customers throughout the transition and maintain its commitment to providing reliable, high-quality solutions for public safety and security applications.
