iPort Announces iPort FS2 Series

iPort initially made headlines in 2004 when it introduced its first-of-a-kind In-Wall (IW) and Free-Standing (FS) Series of music systems for the Apple iPod. In 2009, the company is making headlines again with the launch of the second generation of the Freestanding iPort-the FS2 Series. The company says the FS-21 and FS-22 have an extensively updated feature set, and a new, sleek industrial design that blends beautifully into any location.

The design of the new iPort FS2 Series features a dual-layer acrylic top panel and solid, die-cast aluminum housing for a sophisticated appearance and rich, high-end feel. And, the new FS2 Series automatically charges and is compatible with most dockable iPods and iPhones, including 4th generation and newer iPods, iPhones and iPod touch models! Subtle LED illumination and a soft-touch rubberized base complete the package – making it look totally cool at night.

The FS2 Series also provides one-touch synchronization between Apple iTunes and the iPod or iPhone via USB 2.0 connectivity for both Macs and PCs.  Additionally, a built-in, high-quality audio (well, as high quality as you can get from an iPod) preamplifier ensures excellent music playback. Flexible volume and play-control abilities, either locally via the docked iPod or iPhone or via IR control using an optional iPort remote, are easily accessed. And, FINALLY, the top-of-the-line iPort FS-22 adds RS-232 control – finally!
