IP Showcase Returns to 2025 NAB Show With Focus on Broadcast and ProAV Convergence
The Alliance for IP Media Solutions (AIMS), Advanced Media Workflow Association (AMWA), and the Video Services Forum (VSF) have announced the return of the IP Showcase at the 2025 NAB Show, highlighting the growing convergence of broadcast and Pro AV technologies. This year’s event will spotlight IPMX, an open-interoperability framework for AV-over-IP, demonstrating its potential to unify media workflows across industries.
“The 2025 NAB Show marks a pivotal moment in the convergence of broadcast and Pro AV, and the IP Showcase will be instrumental in educating attendees on how IPMX is bridging the technological gap between these industries,” said Andrew Starks, an AIMS board member and director of product management for Macnica. “As broadcasters and AV professionals increasingly rely on shared IP-based infrastructures, IPMX provides an open-standards-based technology that enables seamless interoperability, high performance, and scalability across diverse applications.”
IP Showcase Theater Returns to the NAB Show
A key feature of the IP Showcase will be the IP Showcase Theater, which will host 16 presentations on the Tech Chat Stage in the West Hall. Industry experts will explore topics such as:
- The IPMX roadmap, including the first product validation tests scheduled for Q3 2025
- The control plane and its role in IP workflows
- The relationship between IPMX, AES67, and SMPTE 2110
- Dynamic media facilities and cloud integration
- Live production, timing, synchronization, and security in IP-based workflows
- Case studies on media organizations transitioning to IP infrastructures
Live Demonstrations of IPMX in Booth W2843
At the 2025 NAB Show, attendees will have the opportunity to see live demonstrations of IPMX-ready products at booth W2843, located across from the Tech Chat Stage. The demonstrations will feature:
- NMOS controllers and multiviewers
- Integration with existing AV-over-IP technologies
- Interoperability testing and real-world applications
Additionally, meeting room W317 will be available for trainings, standards-related meetings, and further IPMX demonstrations.
“With NAB’s growing focus on Pro AV, this year’s show offers the perfect platform to demonstrate how IPMX is driving innovation, breaking down barriers, and unifying the way we create, distribute, and experience content,” Starks said. “It’s going to be an amazing show, and we can’t wait to see everybody there.”
The IP Showcase continues to serve as a vital educational platform for broadcasters, AV professionals, and manufacturers, offering insight into the latest advancements in IP-based media workflows.
