rAVe [Publications] Partners with Scott Walker for New ePub – rAVe GreenAV

rAVe [Publications] is announcing plans to publish a new monthly e-newsletter focused on GreenAV issues, dubbed rAVe GreenAV. It will feature past InfoComm president and founder of Waveguide Consulting, Scott Walker, as contributing editor. rAVe GreenAV will focus on energy efficient, environmentally conscious, and sustainable AV product news from companies in the AV industry, both commercial and residential.

“With government money being spent on green projects, and corporations requesting green products and LEED-certified designers, it’s become apparent that green is not just a fad, and something that all AV insiders need to be paying attention to,” said rAVe Publisher Gary Kayye. “This isn’t just about saving the environment anymore – it’s also about winning bids and saving money. AV integrators need a resource dedicated to covering these issues within our specific industry – one that will cut through all the lying out there with manufacturer specs related to GreenAV.”

Scott Walker, CTS-D, LEED® AP, is the perfect contributing editor for rAVe GreenAV as he currently serves as the chair of InfoComm’s AV Sustainability Rating System Task Force, which is charged with creating an AV sustainability rating system for all so-called GreenAV products and projects. Scott is currently president of Waveguide Consulting, a Georgia-based independent technology consulting firm specializing in acoustics, AV, videoconferencing, and data/telecom system consulting and design. He’s been in the AV market for more than 20 years.

rAVe GreenAV’s inaugural issue will debut in Fall 2010 and, like with all rAVe [Publication] newsletters, will be limited to only a few ad/sponsorship spots so that news and editorials are the focus of the content.
