COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado—August 27, 2013—Liberty AV Solutions announced the immediate availability of the latest HDMI over wireless extender, SKYPLAY-MX. This updated wireless solution expands upon the capabilities established by the first HDMI over wireless extender, SKYPLAY-HD, such as dynamic EDID, multichannel audio support, and the potential for up to four transmitters in a single installation.

The Amimon Pro wireless chipset used in the SKYPLAY-MX ensures the integrity of digital signals, whether transmitting in open air spaces or through light construction. The SKYPLAY-MX will distribute a 1080p video signal with audio up to 100 feet. The SKYPLAY-MX-S transmitter will compile and generate the highest quality EDID based off the displays connected to paired SKYPLAY-MX-R receivers, including multichannel audio. In addition to utilizing AES 128-bit encryption on the wireless signal, the SKYPLAY-MX features the latest HDCP compliance to overcome installation woes.

Installation configurations include point-to-point (one transmitter to one receiver), distribution amplifier (one transmitter paired up to four receivers), and switcher (up to four transmitters paired to a receiver). Due to the operating frequencies used in HDMI over wireless solutions, the SKYPLAY-MX is licensed only for use in North America.
