InfoComm Creates AV Heros; Helps Veterans Start Career in AV

InfoComm International, in partnership with the United Veterans Learning Centers, has created AV Heroes, a six-week training program that ends with the CTS exam, to help veterans start careers in the AV industry.

Bryant Scott is one of the veterans studying in the inaugural program. He spent nine years and 11 months on active duty in the United States Air Force as an Aircraft Armament Systems Specialist. After leaving the military, he worked as a field technician for a company that installed pneumatic tube systems in hospitals — building wiring harnesses, testing systems in the field, training staff on how to use equipment, and much more.

He feels that the CTS credentials are exactly what he needs to add to his resume: “When I heard about this CTS program, I was excited because it would give me some solid credentials to help in my job search, and it is the type of training that could give me a new career that I could take with me wherever I go.”
