InfoComm Attendance up by 18 Percent

At what appeared to be the grandest of InfoComms yet, attendance was up an impressive 18.4 percent over last year’s conference. More than 31,300 ProAV people from more than 80 companies prowled the 465,000 square feet of exhibits and special events.

InfoComm also announced the release of the 2007 Market Definition and Strategy Study, which found that the audiovisual industry in North America has grown into a $25 billion industry in North America.

InfoComm also announced their annual awards. The Harald Thiel Volunteer of the Year is Ernie Bailey of the University of Arkansas for Medical Services in Little Rock, Arkansas. AMX founder Scott Miller, now with ATERAS, was presented the Distinguished Achievement Award and Paul Depperschmidt from Polycom is Educator of the Year.

Congratulations!
