Waveguide has qualified as an InfoComm International AV Provider of Excellence, or APEx, making it the first independent consultant in the world to earn the distinction. The InfoComm APEx program recognizes AV design consulting firms and integrators dedicated to industry excellence by providing quality service to customers and adhering to best practices and standards.
“With Scott Walker at the helm, Waveguide consistently sets the bar high for all of us in the industry and truly exemplifies what it means to be an APEx,” said David Labuskes, CTS, RCDD, InfoComm International’s Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer.
The InfoComm APEx program recognizes companies based on the number of employees who hold key industry certifications, including InfoComm’s Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) credentials, completion of continuing education classes and positive customer survey responses. APEx providers must also prove that they meet or exceed the requirements within two ANSI/INFOCOMM standards — the Standard Guide for Audiovisual Systems Design and Coordination Processes and the AV System Performance Verification Standard – to foster better communication between the AV provider and the client.
Waveguide is committed to quality training, standards and customer service. It’s something we practice every day and take very seriously,” said Waveguide CEO Scott Walker, CTS-D, LEED AP. “In addition to following rigorous standards from planning through commissioning, we maintain a high percentage of certified staff. Currently, 65 percent of our staff companywide are InfoComm certified, with half of our InfoComm certified staff holding specialized certifications in Design (CTS-D) or Installation (CTS-I) or both, and many hold additional certifications across the spectrum of management, design and technology disciplines.”
