India Proves Itself as Fastest-Growing ProAV Market Globally at InfoComm India 2024
InfoComm India 2024, a trade show for professional audiovisual and integrated experience solutions, wrapped up its 10th in-person edition at the Jio World Convention Centre (JWCC) on Sept. 5. The event saw a 17% increase in attendance, attracting 10,867 unique participants compared to the previous edition.
Among those attendees were 76 high-level buyers seeking solutions for projects in various high-growth sectors, such as smart city and urban development, education, live events and entertainment, and healthcare. According to AVIXA, the increase in highly engaged attendees with purchasing authority reflects India’s growing economy and the rising adoption of advanced technologies across various sectors. AVIXA provided some of these buyers with a hosted show floor tour. Hosted guests included: the National Informatics Centre, Rajasthan State Industrial Development and Investment Corporation, National Institute for Smart Government, Honeywell, Agra Smart City, Ramoji Film City and more.
This year’s InfoComm India included 250 global and emerging exhibitors and brands, more than 30 new participants and over 30 product launches.
“InfoComm India allowed me to discover more companies, new technologies, and the attributes that can help me refine and improve our future procurement process,” said Anand Menon, project planning and management specialist from AGRA Smart City.
From immersive displays and audio systems to integrated experiences and smart solutions, AVIXA says InfoComm India 2024 provided a glimpse into the value of ProAV in various sectors, including corporate, education, live events and entertainment, smart urban planning, hospitality, and retail. According to the 2024 Industry Outlook and Trends Analysis (IOTA) by AVIXA, India is the fastest-growing ProAV market globally, with annual revenue projected to reach $11.8 billion in 2029.
“The Indian market is one of the most important markets for us,” said David McKinney, managing director of Generation AV. “We have attended past InfoComm India editions, and we saw so many opportunities here,” he said.
