NSCA, in partnership with Commercial Integrator and Security Sales & Integration, has named IMS Technology Services the overall Integrator of the Year for 2025. The organizations announced the award Jan. 20 as part of a joint program recognizing business performance across the commercial integration industry.

The Integrator of the Year recognition combines NSCA’s Excellence in Business Awards with the Integrator of the Year program run by Commercial Integrator and Security Sales & Integration. The organizations created the joint effort to align evaluation criteria and streamline industry recognition.

The program honored four companies in total. Along with IMS Technology Services of St. Louis Park, Minnesota, the organizations recognized Smarter Systems of Charlotte, North Carolina, for Differentiating Strategies; CTI of Maryland Heights, Missouri, for Talent Development; and Basepoint Building Automations of Des Moines, Iowa, for Strategic Transformation.

“This collaboration between NSCA, Commercial Integrator, and Security Sales & Integration represents the best of what our industry stands for,” said Tom LeBlanc, executive director of NSCA. “By combining forces, we’re able to celebrate integrators in a more meaningful way while bringing greater visibility to their outstanding accomplishments.”

IMS Technology Services marked its 30th year in business in 2025. During that period, the company completed a leadership transition while continuing to expand its managed services offerings, staffing levels and market reach. According to the awards program, IMS also pursued ISO 27001 certification as part of its operational initiatives.

Commercial Integrator featured IMS Technology Services on the cover of its November/December 2025 issue. The publication plans to publish feature articles on the remaining category winners throughout 2026.

Smarter Systems received recognition for its shift from a K–12 classroom technology provider to a regional integrator serving corporate and higher education clients across the Southeast. CTI earned its award for establishing a Department of Labor–approved entry-level technician apprenticeship program. Basepoint Building Automations received recognition for internal programs focused on employee onboarding, innovation training and product evaluation.

All four companies will participate in a panel discussion at the 28th annual Business & Leadership Conference, scheduled for Feb. 24, 2026, in Irving, Texas.
