4-Port Multiviewer Is Ideal for Environments Requiring the Monitoring and Managing of Multiple Computers From a Dual-Head Workstation

IHSE USA today announced that its Draco MV42-H2DH dual-head HDMI 2.0 multiviewer is now shipping in the United States. Designed to add flexibility to KVM management systems — while integrating seamlessly with IHSE’s full line of KVM extenders and switchers — the unit offers a unique set of visualization features for control rooms and other environments where monitoring and managing multiple active computers from a dual-head workstation is required.

“By combining the functionality of a classic multiviewer with a desktop switch, the MV42-H2DH enables the simultaneous operation of several computers from a single workstation, making it ideal for critical applications such as command-and-control centers where operators need to monitor multiple video signals at a glance,” said Dan Holland, marketing manager at IHSE USA. “In addition to delivering real-time image processing and control in these environments, features such as multiple viewing modes, audio de-embedding, instant previews, and more provide users with powerful tools to streamline any workflow.”

The MV42-H2DH multiviewer is capable of handling ultra-high-resolution video displays up to 4K/UHD at a 60Hz frame rate. Offering four dual inputs and two dual outputs, the solution allows for simultaneous playout in applications using dual-head displays or where a local and remote display need to be managed from a single source. The system’s individual screens can be arranged freely and displayed in different modes: fullscreen, quadscreen, picture-in-picture, preview, 2+2, and free mode. Screen layout changes can be made easily using the embedded on-screen display (OSD).

Support for USB-HID and USB 2.0 allow for full control of connected devices via a keyboard and mouse. The MV42-H2DH supports audio de-embedding to 8-channel digital or stereo analog, allowing embedded audio signals to be connected to a loudspeaker via a separate audio interface. Either the audio track of the currently active display or a combination of the various audio signals can be output so that relevant signal tones are heard at all times, regardless of the source.

The MV42-H2DH can provide immediate access to hundreds of endpoints when combined with a Draco Flex or Draco Enterprise KVM matrix system. Through keyboard hot-keys or on-screen display menus from a unit connected to the matrix, users can quickly access up to 32 hot-key PC sources per quadrant. Hot-key macros per input source can be configured by the KVM control system, allowing for instant previews of different computers or cameras.

As standard features, the 1RU chassis includes redundant power and ethernet connectivity for network control through the included Draco MV-Tool configuration and management GUI software. External control is possible via an API or GPIO interface. High-level 24/7 health and unit management are supported with integrated SNMP, SNMP, and SYSLOG capabilities.

The MV42-H2DH is currently on display at InfoComm 2021 in Orlando. To see the unit in action, please visit IHSE USA in booth 3955.
