IHSE USA has released the Draco XStreme series of AV-over-IP KVM extenders, supporting video resolutions from Full HD to 8K over 1-gigabit networks.
The devices use a JPEG XS codec developed with the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits, enabling support for up to 16-bit color, high dynamic range and latency of less than 1 millisecond per frame at frame rates up to 480 frames per second, the company said.
The series includes a dual-head 4K60 extender, which can transmit two 4K60 video signals over a single cable, and a single-head 4K60 extender. Both operate on 1G networks.
Other features include DisplayPort, HDMI and USB-C connectivity; embedded USB 2.0; digital audio with de-embedding; and the ability to switch connections point-to-point or via software.
