If the Future of AV is IT, Companies like ZONES Need to Be Part of It
I’ve known about Zones for years, long before they invited me to speak at their first live event in more than five years. Back in the early 1990s, when the World Wide Web was just taking off, Zones was already a key player. In fact, I got parts to build my first homemade PC from them! Fast forward to today, and they’ve grown into a nearly $5 billion reseller, providing and integrating technology solutions for corporations, governments, healthcare, and schools.
So, when I heard they were ramping up their AV, UCC, and digital signage offerings and wanted me to keynote their first end-user-focused event since 2019, I jumped at the chance.
If you’re an IT manager or CIO responsible for specifying or designing systems, you’re probably familiar with Zones. For those who aren’t, think of Zones as a global IT integrator operating in more than 100 countries. Their unified eCommerce platform enables them to seamlessly track client projects across the globe, ensuring consistency in system builds while managing registration, commissioning, and deployment—all from one platform.
As Zones expands its footprint in AV-integrated systems, they’re a name to watch. In the meantime, check out a few videos I shot during last week’s event in Chicago. And I’ll bet you’ll see them start to appear at InfoComm shows, too!
