i-PRO Nears ISO/IEC 42001 AI Certification, a First for the Physical Security Industry
i-PRO Co. announced it is in the final stage of obtaining ISO/IEC 42001 certification for its artificial intelligence (AI) management systems. Upon completion, i-PRO will become the first company in the physical security industry to earn this certification, reinforcing its commitment to transparency, accountability, and security in AI deployment.
Published in December 2023 by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), ISO/IEC 42001 is the first international standard for AI management systems. It outlines best practices for ethical AI development and usage, focusing on risk management, transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement—key components in building trustworthy AI systems.
As AI continues to transform the physical security industry, ISO/IEC 42001 ensures companies like i-PRO follow a structured framework for risk assessment, regulatory compliance, and ethical AI implementation.

The certification process includes an independent audit by the British Standards Institute (BSI), which evaluated i-PRO’s AI management practices across product development, deployment, and operations.
