Hunter Douglas introduced several new features across its smart shading portfolio, expanding design flexibility and simplifying installation. The updates give integrators more tools to meet performance and aesthetic goals while streamlining project delivery.

A major highlight is the addition of PowerView Automation support for operable arch and angle specialty shapes within the Alustra Duette and Duette Honeycomb collections. Previously limited to static designs, these unique shapes can now be motorized and integrated into whole-home systems, allowing unified control across all windows in a space.

For arches, PowerView Automation supports all light-filtering and room-darkening Duette fabrics in both ¾” and 1¼” pleat sizes. Power options include the Internal Rechargeable Battery (IRB) and PowerView Solar Charger. A new arch trim offers a modern, polished look to complement various interior design styles.

Angle-shaped windows receive similar support, including compatible Duette fabrics, power options, and new headrail endcap extenders. These extenders are color-coordinated and field-trimmable to reduce corner light gaps and ensure a clean finish.

Hunter Douglas also launched LightLock Flex, a streamlined evolution of its LightLock room-darkening system for Duette and Applause Honeycomb Shades. Developed in response to dealer and installer feedback, LightLock Flex cuts installation time from an average of 30 minutes to about 10. The new version has a lower-profile design, fewer components, and can be installed in new or retrofit applications.

LightLock Flex is available as an 84-inch parts kit for on-site customization and is compatible with existing ¾” room-darkening Duette and Applause shades. It comes in six finishes — White Tiara, Aspen Snow, Aspen White, Rich Cream, Bronze and Black — designed to match hardware and trim for a seamless look.

Finally, the company introduced Pirouette A Deux, a dual-shade system made for PowerView Automation. The design pairs a light-filtering Pirouette sheer shade with a separate, independently operated room-darkening liner housed in a newly engineered headrail. This allows for precise control over lighting, privacy, and ambiance throughout the day.

Pirouette A Deux is available in all light-filtering Pirouette fabrics up to 96 inches wide and 96 inches tall and is designed for bedrooms, media rooms, and other spaces needing both aesthetics and performance.
