Humly has added QR code booking to its Humly Reservations software, expanding its workplace booking ecosystem with a hardware- and app-free option that will be demonstrated publicly at ISE 2026.

The new Humly QR Code feature allows users to book shared resources such as meeting rooms, desks, phone booths and parking spaces by scanning a QR code with a personal device. Once scanned, the Humly Reservations interface opens in a smartphone browser, displaying real-time availability and booking options without requiring a dedicated app or additional hardware.

Humly will showcase the technology at its booth, 2W300, during ISE 2026, where visitors can walk through live simulations showing how individual QR codes are linked to specific resources across different environments, including offices and university campuses. The demonstrations are designed to show how users can view current availability, confirm immediate bookings or review upcoming reservations to plan future use.

In addition to booking, the QR Code feature supports functions such as editing existing reservations and viewing nearby or alternative spaces if a preferred resource is unavailable. These options are presented through the same browser-based interface accessed by scanning the code.

Administrators manage the QR Code feature through the Humly Control Panel, the company’s centralized management system. From the control panel, administrators can create, download and manage QR codes tied to specific resources. Humly said the system supports both static codes for fixed spaces and dynamic codes for resources that may change or move, reducing the need to replace printed codes when configurations are updated.

ISE 2026 takes place Feb. 3–6 at the Fira de Barcelona in Barcelona, Spain.
