Behind the Stand at ISE 2025: An Interview With Humly’s Anders Karlsson

THIS IS A PROMOTED POST

Behind the Stand ISE Humly

Welcome to this series highlighting some of the manufacturers and brands that will be featured on the show floor at ISE 2025. As we gear up for the event, we wanted to share a preview of what these companies are bringing to the table — from new products to insights about their focus for the show. These conversations offer a closer look at what you can expect and a chance to get to know the people behind the brands before the doors open in Barcelona. This interview is with Humly’s Anders Karlsson, CEO.

Q: Why is Humly exhibiting at ISE this year?

A: Humly’s presence at ISE 2020 represented our official entry into the AV industry. We unveiled our workplace experience vision at this event, anchored by our Humly Room Display meeting signs. Little did we know how substantial of a role these signs would play in the workplace technology ecosystem before long.

Five years later, ISE 2025 remains the most important global stage for the AV industry. It is where we gather to meet without colleagues and peers from around the world. For exhibitors like Humly, ISE provides a venue to meet with many customers and partners attending from many regions.

Q: What trends do you think we’ll see on the show floor and how is your company positioned to capitalize on these opportunities?

A: Humly exhibits in Hall 2, which is home to most of the UC technologies on the exhibit floor. We’ll be amongst those near the back of the hall at Stand 2W550, which is where I anticipate we will see some of the most exciting integrations. We expect plenty of buzz around AI, and early innovations built around integrations with Microsoft Places. I am personally hopeful to see some more advanced AI implementations that bring greater value to daily workflows for office workers.

Humly will capitalize on the growing excitement around sensor integrations through several new accessories that address meeting space occupancy, environmental conditions.

Q: What new products or solutions are you showcasing at ISE and how do they address current industry challenges?

A: We will be showing our expanded range of accessories with sensor integrations for Humly Booking Device and Humly Room Display. Humly’s latest external motion sensor detects human presence inside a phone booth-style personal meeting space. The sensor immediately notifies the local Humly Booking Device when someone has entered the booth, switching to “booked” mode and changing the touchscreen’s LED lighting to red. A second sensor integration communicates pertinent atmospheric data including air quality, temperature, carbon dioxide levels, and humidity. We will demonstrate these readings on the Humly Room Display and how set user-defined thresholds in Humly Control Panel.

Q: How is your company expanding its global presence besides exhibiting at ISE 2025?

A: Humly has made strategic business decisions over the past several years to establish our international presence, particularly in Europe and the Asia-Pacific. In 2024, we put a new strategy into motion to build our North America presence. We have developed key partnerships in the United States and Canada, and amplified our booth space at InfoComm. We have identified North America and Europe ads our key business markets for 2025, although we have now representation on all inhabited continents.

Q: Why should ISE 2025 attendees visit your booth?

A: The benefit of visiting Humly is to learn about how far we have taken the user’s journey into the workplace experience. The ability to experience our hardware and software solutions puts what people might have learning watching or video tutorials or browsing our website into such greater context. They can also get a sense of where Humly’s journey will take them next, including advanced desktop integrations and new directions such as workspace utilization.

Q: Anything else you’d like to add?

I think both those familiar with and new to Humly will be interested to learn about our own integration plans for Microsoft Places. You’ll have to come by to learn.
