Home Technology Association and Interior Design Society Partner for Collaborative Initiative

Home Technology Association and Interior Design Society PartnershipHome Technology Association (HTA), a resource for home technology professionals, announced a mutually beneficial collaboration initiative with the IDS (Interior Designer Society). Through the arrangement, HTA will provide IDS members access to HTA’s library of educational resources. The resources include articles, webinars and videos for educating, inspiring and engaging architects, designers and specifiers. In turn, IDS will help spread the word about the importance of using HTA Certified home technology integrators.

A recent HTA poll indicated that only 31% of interior designers have a reputable technology partner relationship and many are looking to find a great technology partner. The HTA advocates that all certified technology integrators join their local IDS chapters as Industry Partners and build personal interior designer relationships.

“We are thrilled to forge this relationship with IDS as it solidifies initiatives we have been working on since the HTA’s inception: To bridge the gap between the design-build and integration communities and to become a valued and go-to resource for interior designers,” said Josh Christian, CEO of HTA.

“IDS recognizes the importance of technology in our everyday lives, no more than ever. We are excited to partner with HTA to further educate our interior designer members on how to incorporate technology services and products into their projects,” said Jenny Cano, executive director of IDS. “We hope to strengthen the relationship between our industries.”
