PPDS has unveiled the next generation of its Philips MediaSuite range, introducing the 6000 Series with Ambilight and the 7000 Series UltraSlim. Designed for the hospitality market, the new TVs integrate cloud gaming, Google Cast, and Apple AirPlay, delivering more immersive and personalized in-room entertainment while offering new operational efficiencies for hotels.
The 6000 and 7000 Series will be available in 2026 and continue PPDS’ focus on innovation for the hospitality sector. The TVs are Netflix-ready, Google-certified, and compatible with Apple’s AirPlay, allowing guests to securely stream content from their personal devices. Both series also feature built-in access to thousands of apps through Google Play, including news, sports, and games.
The new models extend beyond streaming to support cloud gaming, giving guests the ability to play directly on the TV through their subscriptions without needing a console. Hotels can choose to provide controllers or allow guests to bring their own.
“Now, we are changing it up again, going above and beyond to bring guests’ experiences up to date — not just matching their expectations, but surpassing them,” said Jeroen Verhaeghe, global director of product strategy and partnerships for professional TV at PPDS.
The 6000 Series introduces Ambilight technology to the hospitality sector, projecting colored light from the back of the TV to match on-screen content for a more immersive viewing experience. Ambilight can also be customized to fit hotel branding or room decor. The 7000 Series features an ultra-slim profile less than 3 centimeters deep, making it ideal for smaller rooms or cruise cabins.
Both models are engineered with energy efficiency in mind, achieving a European Energy Label E rating on most sizes. PPDS’ Bandwidth Guard feature helps reduce network demand and costs, while the TVs’ Android-based platform supports remote management through PPDS’ CMND system or a hotel PMS.
“The new Philips MediaSuite 6000 and 7000 Series indisputably make this our – and the industry’s – most advanced and diverse range of dedicated hotel TVs yet,” Verhaeghe said.
