Kramer’s signal management solutions were selected to enhance business opportunities and improve guest experiences at the Fabryka Wełny Hotel & Spa.

Located near Łódź, one of Poland’s largest cities, the Fabryka Wełny Hotel & Spa is a modern destination with 122 guestrooms, nine conference rooms, a ballroom, a wedding hall, and a philharmonic hall. As part of a major AV modernization effort, the hotel required a future-proof control system to provide seamless connectivity, control management, and collaborative capabilities across its business and event spaces.

To achieve this, Warsaw-based AV distributor and integration specialist Modulit Solutions Polska partnered with Kramer to deliver a tailored solution.

“The project required a system for transmitting AV signals between rooms and the philharmonic hall, with functionality for duplication, driving, or reformatting signals,” said Joseph Bouaniche, regional sales manager for Kramer. “Additionally, the conference rooms needed a user-friendly collaboration system.”

The solution includes:

• KC-BRAINware-25 Control Platform: Allows the hotel’s IT team to execute room control actions directly from a computer.
• KDS-7 AVoIP Encoder: Streams 4K video signals over Ethernet and ensures scalability for future needs.
• VIA GO2: A compact and secure 4K wireless presentation device enabling seamless collaboration in conference rooms.
• Kramer Control Platform: A cloud-based system providing IT/AV managers with tools to monitor, control, and support AV systems and connected third-party devices. It also supports automation for presentations, including lowering blinds, adjusting lighting, and activating projectors at the press of a button.
  Challenges and Solutions

“The hotel’s unique conditions, including multiple rooms and the need for quick connection and signal splitting, required a flexible AV content management system,” said Łukasz Trojanowski of Modulit Solutions Polska. “Kramer’s AVoIP technology was the optimal solution, offering flexibility for future expansions, such as adding more signal sources or displays.”

The system supports point-to-point AV transmission, as well as one-to-many and one-to-all configurations. The integration ensures simple operation through a touch panel, and users can wirelessly connect their devices—such as iPhones, Android phones, laptops, or tablets—to displays or projectors using Kramer VIA.

The project was completed on time and within budget, earning praise from hotel staff and users alike. “Both users and venue staff appreciate the automation running in the background and the ability to easily adjust settings through the touch panel,” said Trojanowski. “Kramer VIA has also been well-received for its ease of use, allowing guests to connect wirelessly to the AV system effortlessly.”
