Green Hippo Ships KASAI and TAGUS Video Media Servers for Smaller Productions, Events and Installs
Green Hippo has unveiled the Hippotizer MX Series, introducing two new 2U media servers—KASAI MX and TAGUS MX—designed for compact, high-performance playback in touring and fixed-install environments. Both models deliver two 4K outputs or a smaller single output from a compact 2U chassis.
KASAI MX is built for touring productions, offering genlock support for synchronizing multiple large-surface displays. TAGUS MX, by contrast, is optimized for corporate and installation environments where genlock isn’t needed but multi-display flexibility is key.
The Hippotizer MX Series supports 10-bit video playback for accurate color reproduction and is compatible with SMPTE 2110 and IPMX workflows. Features include:
- Upgradeable/swappable media drives
- Rear-chassis illumination
- Customizable output configurations
- OLED front panel display for real-time monitoring
