Glass-Media and Digi Point Media announced the launch of a transparent LED poster developed to bring digital signage capabilities to retail storefront windows traditionally dominated by static posters and neon signs.

The new display, developed through a partnership between the two companies, is designed to hang directly in commercial windows while maintaining visibility from inside the store. According to the companies, the poster weighs 13 pounds, can be installed in about 30 minutes and is approximately 85% transparent from the interior, allowing retailers to preserve sightlines while displaying full-motion content to passersby.

Glass-Media said the product is intended as an alternative to window-facing LCD displays, which are often heavy and opaque, and to single-use printed posters and clings. Retailers collectively produce millions of square feet of window graphics each year, which require repeated printing, shipping and installation and are typically discarded after short promotional cycles. The LED poster offers a digital-first option with an expected lifespan of up to 10 years, the companies said.

Content on the display can be scheduled down to the minute, allowing brands to manage promotions remotely and reduce the risk of outdated or noncompliant messaging. Glass-Media said this approach can also save franchise operators hours of manual labor each time campaigns change.

“This innovation tackles one of retail’s most frustrating pain points: the inefficiency and wastefulness of static window clings,” said Daniel Black, founder and CEO of Glass-Media. “By digitizing the most valuable real estate in retail, the storefront, we’re unlocking unprecedented opportunities for flexibility, sustainability and monetization.”

Beyond retailer-controlled messaging, the LED posters can be connected to third-party retail media networks for programmatic advertising. Digi Point Media said this capability enables brands to deliver storefront-level advertising and opens additional revenue opportunities for retailers. The units also include embedded sensors that collect data such as foot traffic and dwell time, providing insight into customer engagement at the window.

“This is more than a hardware launch, it’s a new method for advertising solutions,” said Paul Calce, founder and president of Digi Point Media. “By combining Glass-Media’s deep expertise in retail technology with Digi Point’s advertising networks and innovation, we can help retailers modernize their storefront messaging and turn valuable window space into revenue generating assets.”

The transparent LED poster debuted publicly at the Digital Signage Experience 2025 trade show in San Diego and is currently available through pilot programs. Glass-Media said the product is scheduled for a broader market launch in the fourth quarter of 2025, initially rolling out with a select group of Fortune 50 brands. The two companies also said they are co-developing additional retail media solutions as part of their long-term partnership.
