The entry system for the 2011 Electronic Lifestyles® Awards competition is now open at www.cedia.org/awards. The Designer Awards competition features the following categories:
- Home Theater
- Integrated Home
- Media Room
- Hidden Installation
- Special Project
- Showroom
- Sustainable Lifestyle Installation (New for 2011!)
In addition, judges will select winners in the following sub-categories out of all entries in the main categories:
- Best Dressed System
- Best Documentation
- Best Theme
New for 2011: There is no longer a limit on the number of projects your company can enter in each category!
The deadline for entering the Electronic Lifestyles® Designer Awards is Friday, May 6 at 5 p.m. (Pacific). Enter before April 1 and you will save 20% on the fee for your first entry.
Plus: CEDIA will once again partner with HGTVPro.com to host the People’s Pick awards, featuring entrants from the Home Theater, Media Room, Integrated Home, and Sustainable Lifestyle Installation categories. HGTVPro.com visitors will be able to vote for their favorite projects beginning in August, and one winner in each category will be recognized at the Electronic Lifestyles® Awards Banquet.

Manufacturers’ Excellence Awards
Manufacturers can also compete for top honors in the Manufacturers’ Excellence Awards competition. Categories include:
- Best New Product – Any new product released between September 30,2010 and September 30, 2011
- Sustainable Lifestyle Product Innovation Award –Transformative technology that either aids in reducing consumption of energy and natural resources or represents an environmentally responsible approach to the power usage, production methods, or packaging of traditional goods
- Product Hall of Fame – Products that have had a significant impact on CEDIA members and have been on the market for 10 years or more
- Attendees’ Choice Award – CEDIA EXPO attendees will vote during CEDIA EXPO 2011 for their favorite new product on the show floor, but you have to enter to be in the running!

- The Manufacturers’ Excellence Awards deadline is a month later than usual! Based on manufacturer feedback, CEDIA has moved the entry deadline to June 10, 2011 at 5:00 p.m. (Pacific).
