Gary Kayye to Discuss “The Future of AV in Everything” at NSCA University Chicago Event

A one-day seminar in Chicago was announced by NSCA. The November 7 event is a full day of classes hosted by Sound Marketing, Middle Atlantic Products and Harman Professional. Normally a $260 cost, the event is free to AV professionals.

Two of the courses will be taught by Gary Kayye. The first, “The future of AV is here are you ready?” will take a journey through the evolution of AV and explore future trends of the industry, in addition to AV’s relationship with IT. Learn to distinguish your customers as “early adopters” or “early majority” buyers and how this impacts your bottom line. Receive pointers on managing content by controlling your assets and hear about the benefits of having a networked environment. You’ll walk away with seven steps to success using ProAV solutions.

Kayye will also teach “Building Four Profit Centers in Your Company.” Being a dealer/integrator/contractor in this industry and staying profitable is getting more and more challenging. AV gear margins have dropped significantly, but there are ways to stay in the game and Kayye will explain how.

Other classes include “Power Distribution and Thermal Management of Electronics Systems” by Bob Schluter, President and Chief Engineer at Middle Atlantic Products and “Audio Networking Overview” by Bradford Benn, Crown International.

Each of these classes will count as fully accredited learning units toward the NSCA Certificate of Completion program and will showcase some cutting-edge new products. For example, says NSCA, the Soundcraft truck will be demonstrating the brand-new flagship digital console, the Vi-6.
