GAHRENS + BATTERMANN relies on solutions from NEC Display Solutions
Munich, 6 February 2017- Global innovation at ISE in Amsterdam: NEC Display Solutions Europe will present the filter-less and thereby maintenance free LCD-laser projectors PA653UL and PA803UL. Reason enough for the event specialist GAHRENS+BATTERMANN and the dry-hire- provider VisionTools to place a major contract with NEC for 100 laser projectors. The purchase order includes laser projectors from the current PX-Series (DLP) and the PA-Series (LCD), which will be exhibited at ISE 2017.
“NEC currently is the only manufacturer which can offer DLP- and LCD- laser projectors which are filter-less as well as maintenance free – an ideal partner for us in order to guarantee the best solutions for events”, says Professor Dr. Norbert Gahrens, CEO of GAHRENS + BATTERMANN. “Our portfolio of lamp devices will be completely replaced with new innovative laser projectors by 2018. This portfolio enables us to offer modern projection solutions with very low failure rates to our clients.”
Besides a motorized zoom, the new PA laser projectors impress with a unique HDBaseT looping feature and are compatible with UHD Blu-ray players because of their HDR10, 4K/60HZ capability and their REC2020 colour space conversion.
“The new projectors offer VisionTools the possibility to complement their existing portfolio of NEC DLP laser projectors. The low weight of just 16 kilograms, combined with a light output of 8000 ANSI Lumen (PA803UL), makes the new LCD-laser models interesting and will convince many hirers”, says Stefan Schlüter, CEO of VisionTools. “The large order by GAHRENS+BATTERMANN in time for ISE is an obvious sign that the new NEC solutions perfectly address the demands in the rental and staging market.”

The LCD- laser projector PA653UL will be available in April, the PA803UL will be available in August 2017.
