Extron Room Scheduling Panels Deployed at Mid-State Technical College AMETA Center

Mid-State Technical College (MSTC) has installed Extron TLS TouchLink scheduling panels throughout its new Advanced Manufacturing, Engineering Technology, and Apprenticeship (AMETA) Center in Wisconsin. The installation enhances classroom and event scheduling by integrating with the college’s 25Live academic and event management system.
The AMETA Center serves as a training hub for Wisconsin’s next-generation technical workforce, offering programs in precision machining, robotic machine tending, automated manufacturing, and process control automation. Across its four campuses and the new AMETA facility, MSTC operates more than 120 classrooms and meeting spaces, all managed through the 25Live platform.
Extron’s TLS scheduling panels are mounted at each room entrance, providing real-time availability and scheduling details for students, faculty, and visitors navigating campus. The panels communicate with 25Live through the college’s LAN and are configured using Extron’s Room Agent software.
“The main factors that led us to select the Extron TLS touchpanel room scheduling solution were compatibility with 25Live, features and functionality that met our needs and price,” said Bradley Russell, vice president of information technology and chief information security officer at Mid-State Technical College. “Extron’s Room Agent and Toolbelt software make it easy to go in on our own and make configuration changes whenever needed.”
In partnership with MSTC’s technical team, Extron enhanced its Room Agent software to better format and display 25Live data on the scheduling panels. Those updates — originally developed for the college — are now available to all 25Live users as standard features.
The AMETA Center deployment demonstrates how institutions can combine Extron’s scheduling technology with existing campus systems to improve space utilization, streamline scheduling, and reduce administrative workload.
