Extron Launches MGP 641 xi 5K Multi-Window Processor for High-Resolution AV Applications
Extron has introduced the MGP 641 xi 5K, a multi-window processor designed for high-resolution signal processing in ProAV, live events and esports applications. The processor scales and presents up to four 5K sources on a single screen, supporting resolutions up to 5120×2880 with 4:4:4 color sampling.
Equipped with Extron’s Vector 4K scaling engine, the MGP 641 xi 5K ensures high-quality upscaling and downscaling of content. It includes four HDMI inputs supporting data rates up to 18 Gbps, along with an HDMI background input for displaying live, non-scaled content behind source windows at up to 5K resolution. The MGP 641 xi 5K SDI model adds support for 12G-SDI sources. An HDMI output allows for local display, while a DTP3 output extends the signal up to 330 feet (100 meters) to a remote display.
Designed for corporate boardrooms, training rooms, public auditoriums and mission-critical environments, the rack-mountable processor offers customizable window layouts, video and logo keying, window transition effects and output rotation. It also includes two-channel embedded audio extraction and pass-through.
An optional LinkLicense enables on-screen annotation features, allowing users to draw freehand, add shapes, lines, and pointer arrows in selectable colors. The MGP 641 xi 5K provides enhanced content presentation capabilities, making it well-suited for applications that require multi-source display and real-time annotation.
