Extron Expands NAV Line With Cost-Effective AV-over-IP Decoder
Extron has added a new decoder to its NAV Pro AV-over-IP Series with the launch of the NAV D 121, a lower-cost option for distributing video, audio and control over 1 Gbps networks.
The NAV D 121 uses Extron’s proprietary PURE3 codec to deliver visually lossless 4K/60 video with 4:4:4 chroma sampling and ultra-low latency. The unit receives AV signals over IP and converts them back to HDMI for display.
Designed for scalability, the decoder includes RS-232, Digital I/O and IR ports, allowing users to expand control beyond the central processor without additional hardware at the endpoint.
Extron says the NAV system offers the flexibility of IP-based distribution while retaining features typical of traditional matrix switchers, making it suitable for large-scale professional AV installations requiring secure signal transport.
