Extron Launches ‘Ecofficient’ Label Following ENERGY STAR Program’s End

Extron has introduced Ecofficient, a new initiative designed to identify the company’s energy-efficient audiovisual products in response to the discontinuation of the ENERGY STAR program for commercial AV devices.
The Ecofficient mark will appear across multiple Extron product lines, providing system designers, integrators and end users with a consistent indicator of energy-conscious design and engineering. The initiative aims to support growing industry demand for reduced power consumption, lower operating costs and greater sustainability.
“The Ecofficient designation represents the best of what Extron delivers: engineering precision, forward-thinking innovation, and measurable efficiency,” said Casey Hall, chief marketing officer at Extron. “We created this initiative to help our customers confidently specify AV systems that meet today’s energy expectations without compromising performance.”
Extron said the Ecofficient label will serve as a reliable tool for professionals seeking AV solutions that align with environmental and sustainability goals. The designation highlights products that maintain performance and reliability while minimizing energy usage.
