Extron has introduced new DTP3 input and output cards for its Quantum Ultra II videowall processor, adding long-distance signal extension capabilities aimed at command centers, control rooms and large-scale video walls.

The Quantum IN4DTP3 is a four-input card that allows direct connection of remote source devices without requiring separate DTP3 receivers. It supports both twisted pair and HDMI inputs and includes power insertion to support DTP3 or DTP transmitters. The Quantum OUT4DTP3 provides four DTP3 outputs, removing the need for additional transmitters when displays are far from the processor. Each output also includes a buffered HDMI connection for local monitoring or integration with streaming and recording equipment.

Both cards support 4K/60 video transmission up to 330 feet (100 meters) and allow per-channel selection between DTP3, DTP and XTP formats, offering system designers more flexibility. The processor also integrates RS-232 control and Dante audio routing when paired with Extron’s Quantum OUT32AT card.

The Quantum Ultra II, Extron’s latest video wall processor, features a 500 Gbps HyperLane video bus and supports 4K/60 at 4:4:4 with HDCP 2.3 compliance. It can handle 8K/60 sources as a quad-path signal and supports up to 20 canvases with varying resolutions and orientations.

Extron says the new DTP3 cards simplify system architecture by reducing the need for external signal extension hardware while maintaining high-resolution performance.
