Extron Amps-Up Videowall Control EMS Express Mobile Software Quantum Ultra
Extron announced significant updates to its EMS Express Mobile Software – Quantum Ultra. The software now supports up to 20 canvases, user roles, canvas access, source assignment by canvas, and more, making videowall control easier. The application, available for iOS, Android, and Windows, uses familiar touch controls like pinch and zoom, drag and drop, tap, and swipe for wireless videowall management. Enhanced features, including remote operation within an Extron FOX installation and greater flexibility with multiple canvases, make EMS-Quantum Ultra suitable for single- or multi-point videowall control.
New Features
- Flexible canvas area: The on-screen representation of the videowall can be independent of the overall output resolution, hiding any unused canvas areas.
- Support for Quantum IN4FOX3 and Quantum OUT4FOX3 cards: Compatible with Quantum Ultra II videowall processors (firmware update required).
- Up to 50 login accounts: Admin, Designer, and User permission levels available.
- Manage up to 20 videowalls: Canvases with varying resolutions and arrangements can be controlled from a single Quantum Ultra or Quantum Ultra II system.
- Canvas Access Permission: Administrators can designate access to specific canvases for user accounts, up to 20 canvases.
- Source Access Permission: Canvases can be restricted to specific sources, as determined by an administrator.
EMS-Quantum Ultra supports a variety of control scenarios. It can serve as a single point of control for multiple videowalls or as a multi-point solution with up to 10 mobile devices. It can also work alongside Extron’s VCS and control systems. Initial setup for Quantum Ultra or Quantum Ultra Connect is performed through VCS. A LinkLicense upgrade for Quantum Ultra is required to enable communication between the software and the processor.
