Do you need secure wireless audio system that is great sounding and secured with military grade AES 256 encryption? If you haven’t seen Sacom/Sabine Inc. (Booth 1275) and you’re in the market for great sounding secure wireless audio system that isn’t cost prohibitive, the guys at Sacom/Sabine are definitely on the right path!

The DS8400/8800 Digital Wireless Microphone System is extremely feature rich. Spending time today with them, I found that while their booth may not be as glamorous as some of their competitors, their technology rocks the floor of InfoComm!

Sacom/Sabin started out to develop the best sounding digital RF microphone system. The end result really blew my socks off! First, the one rack unit can hold up to eight individual module channels that can be paired to create redundant channels. Granted, you still need multiple transmitters for this setup yet, but it’s definitely is a cool feature. Next Sacom/Sabin addressed the need to secure the audio transmission, for the conference room users, or maybe for military use?

The security discussion alone was simply amazing. Sacom/Sabin didn’t mess around — they approached the NSA around the time the Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS) document 197 was published (http://csrc.nist.gov/publications/PubsFIPS.html). This provided the ability to add AES-256 encryption to DS8400/8800.  So this represents just a few cypher key combinations, something like 1077 — big number!

The rest of the features really just keep adding such value and I really was surprised how inexpensive these systems are. All the transmitters use NiMH batteries, and will work with alkaline. They give you a free charging station which will work for the handheld, boundary style and body pack! (Yes, one charging station for all those style microphones.) Still concerned about power? Just plug your transmitter into a mini-USB device for full power! If I were you check this system out! More information can be found here.
