EPSON Debuts $500 SVGA Projector for ED Market
Dubbed the PowerLite S9, Epson is getting ready to ship a new $500 SVGA (800×600) projector with 2500 lumens, weighing in at 5npounds. Claiming to have a 5000-hour lamp, the S9 is aimed at the education market but will, no doubt, draw interest from traveling presenters looking for a bargain-priced projector since price drives that market too. The S9 is a 3-chip 3LCD projector that includes instant on/off capability, USB PC-less presentation compatibility (Mac and Windows) and a 1.35x zoom lens.
