Epson Adds Apple AirPlay to Its PowerLite L-Series Laser Projectors
Epson announced that its latest 3-chip 3LCD PowerLite L-Series laser projectors are now available and include support for Apple AirPlay. The addition addresses growing demand in education and corporate environments for seamless wireless content sharing from Apple devices.
The updated L-Series lineup features higher brightness and professional-level tools in a portable design. It now includes an expanded range of throw ratios — from 0.5 to 2.2 — across both standard and short throw models, providing more flexibility for installation in settings such as classrooms, meeting rooms and lecture halls.
With Apple AirPlay, users can stream movies, music, games and photos directly to the projector from iPhones, iPads or Macs. The feature also allows for screen mirroring and content sharing across multiple AirPlay-enabled devices.
The projectors range from 6,000 to 8,000 lumens and offer Full HD WUXGA resolution with Epson’s 4K Enhancement Technology for detailed images — even at close range. Designed for displays up to 500 inches in 16:10, the projectors also support ultra-wide aspect ratios, including 16:6 and 21:9, to better accommodate hybrid content formats.
Previously limited to Epson’s interchangeable lens models, the new PowerLite L-Series includes installation features such as NFC, advanced geometric correction and optional PixAlign camera support for multi-projector setups, including screen matching, blending and stacking.
Additional tools include optical zoom, wide lens shift, and built-in wireless connectivity. Users can manage and monitor projectors remotely via a web browser using the Epson Projector Management Connected app, as well as cast content through Apple AirPlay, Epson iProjection and Miracast.
