Edge, formerly USAV, announced the hiring of Michael Boettcher as its president. Boettcher brings over 20 years of audiovisual industry experience to Edge’s team, most recently serving as president of Global VC – US division of New Era Technology.

“We are thrilled to welcome Mike to the organization,” said Matt Barnette, CEO of the PSA Network and Edge. “We have aggressive growth goals for our AV division and Mike will be instrumental in achieving them. His years of industry experience and deep understanding of an AV integrator’s challenges make him an excellent asset.”

Edge says it bonds low voltage systems integrators together as an elite industry team. With integrator members throughout the world, partnerships with top AV manufacturers, distributors and service providers, and alignment with leading industry associations, the advantage Edge provides is unparalleled by any other.

“I am really excited to join this great team,” said Boettcher. “I have been involved with the group for over a decade including serving on the Dealer Advisory Council (DAC). I look forward to strengthening the relationships fostered during those years and building new ones that will propel EDGE through the next decade.”

Boettcher previously served as president of NSCA and has been on the board of directors since 2014. He also served as DAC chairman for USAV and is an AVIXA member with a Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) designation. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Villanova University and played baseball for the Wildcats.

He joins the Edge team that comprises vice president, Patrick Whipkey, and director of business development, Cheryl Walton. Edge says it “boasts over 90 integrators who collectively generate over $2 billion annually in gross revenue. With integrator presence in over 40 countries and partnerships with 250 technology solutions providers, the EDGE advantage is clear.”
