Dynacord Introduces Multi-Zone Audio Platform With New Processor, Call Station and Wall Panel Controller
Dynacord has expanded its V Series with the launch of a multi-zone audio platform that includes the VZX-8 8-Zone Audio Processor, the VCS-8 8-Zone Call Station, and the VWP Wall Panel Controller. The system builds on Dynacord’s existing two- and four-channel amplifiers, adding digital signal processing (DSP), mixing and control capabilities for multi-zone environments.
All configuration and control tasks are managed through the VZX web app, which uses included URLs and ZeroConf technology for initial setup without requiring additional software or downloads. Loudspeaker database presets support Electro-Voice models as well as a range of third-party speaker options to simplify system tuning.
VZX-8 8-Zone Audio Processor
The VZX-8 is the core of the platform. It offers eight zone outputs and supports up to 20 processed input sources, including eight balanced mic/line inputs with phantom power. Additional features include eight freely assignable GPIO ports (analog or digital), two ready/fault contacts for supervision and an emergency override input for integration with PA/VA systems.
The built-in DSP is designed to support applications such as background music, paging, and small-scale live performances. The processor includes features such as equalization, ducking, compression, automatic gain control, noise gating, effects, room EQ and FIR-based speaker presets. Each zone can handle multiple active sources, and output levels can be adjusted using Ambient Noise Compensation (ANC) to adapt to changing conditions. Delay lines and subwoofer alignment are also supported.
A virtual mixer with automixing and FX allows for live mixing in individual zones. Access is provided via a dedicated URL and QR code, which limits access to specific controls. The VZX-8 includes a 32 GB microSD card for music storage, message playback, and automatic configuration backups. Setups can be transferred across systems via the web app, and the integrated message player can be triggered through GPIOs, the VCS-8 Call Station or other connected devices.
VCS-8 8-Zone Call Station
The VCS-8 is a desktop call station with a condenser microphone designed for paging and system control. Users can trigger stored messages, mute zones and perform other custom functions via nine programmable buttons. LEDs indicate when the system is in use, and up to eight call stations can be daisy-chained with configurable chimes.
VWP Wall Panel Controller
The VWP Wall Panel Controller features a color TFT display and push encoder for adjusting levels and selecting sources. It provides control over input levels, background music, zone mixes and virtual mixer sources. Configuration and labeling are managed through the VZX web app, and the interface supports over 150 languages. Access can be restricted via user profiles and PIN codes.
The VZX-8 includes two accessory ports that support cable runs up to 500 meters each. Up to 16 accessories can be connected, allowing for deployment in larger or more complex installations.
