DT Research and ZeeVee showcase Digital Signage at InfoComm
INFOCOMM 2015 Orlando, FL – June 17, 2015 – DT Research™, Inc., an industry leader in the development of information appliances for vertical markets, together with ZeeVee, a leading provider of innovative video distribution technology, announced a partnership to showcase a powerful playback and delivery solution for 4K digital signage in the ZeeVee booth #4131.
The DT Research SA101 4K Signage Appliance is a powerful yet incredibly compact and cost-effective media player that features an HDMI 2.0 output with 3840x2160p/60Hz resolution and full RGB 4:4:4 color support. The industry-leading web based WebDT Content Manager software is included with the purchase of the SA101, and offers intuitive remote management and automated playback of H.264 4K video — with H.265 support coming soon – and a multitude of content and media file types for single and multi-zone playlists.
ZeeVee’s ZyPer4K™ uses industry standard infrastructure to eliminate the distance limitations of current HDBaseT platforms, dramatically reducing the cost and complexity of distributing 4K content within commercial environments such as stadiums, college and corporate campus’ and shopping malls. Because ZyPer4K uses existing Ethernet infrastructure, standards, and IP protocols, AV integrators can distribute and manage uncompressed 4K video distribution networks using a standard 10Gb Ethernet switch without the traditional distance limitations, custom programming, or proprietary cables often required by traditional proprietary solutions, reducing the overall cost of the project by up to 60%. Furthermore, each decoder delivers a 1GB Ethernet connection, ideal for integrating Wi-Fi receivers, facial recognition technology, or other commercial applications at the point of the display.
The SA101 Signage Appliance, at less than one pound and 1.4” thick, has a fully sealed, solid-state fanless design, and when combined with the ZyPer4K, is ideal for stadiums, concessions, amusement parks, transportation hubs, and other demanding applications that require sending HD and UHD video over long distances. This robust combination can send a 4K video signal over distances using a standard router, driving Ultra High Definition content miles away. The SA101 includes a VESA mounting bracket, solid state internal storage, and offers an optional Wi-Fi dipole antenna for wireless network connections.
The SA101 Signage Appliances will be available in June, 2015 through DT Research authorized distributors and resellers worldwide.
