Welcome to Part 1 (of 2) of our Digital Signage Expo (DSE) 2010 coverage.  The show was a hit this year – but to be totally frank, there is still a noticeable lack of ProAV presence.  And, with only about 12 percent of all DS installs being performed by the ProAV market, there’s a lot of opportunity in DS for AV integration firms as it’s still, for the second year in a row, the fastest growing segment of the AV market (even with only 12 percent of the total market). On a positive note, I led a workshop at the DSE Show this week, entitled Digital Signage for AV Geeks, and not only was it full, but we had at least 25-30 more people standing up at the back!  So, some AV integrators were clearly there…

And, I hope our coverage of the DSE show will lead many of you to get into the DS market as quickly as possible.
