DoorBird Adds Kwikset Halo Lock Integration for Seamless Home Access
DoorBird has integrated Kwikset’s Halo smart locks into its app, allowing users to unlock their doors while on a live DoorBird video call, without switching between platforms.
The integration aims to simplify smart home access by combining video intercom and door control into a single interface. DoorBird says the feature improves both functionality and security, offering an alternative to lower-end solutions that may pose privacy risks.
The company also highlighted the aesthetic compatibility of the DoorBird stations and Kwikset Halo locks, positioning the pairing as a visually cohesive upgrade for modern home entrances.
Kwikset, a U.S.-based lock manufacturer and part of ASSA ABLOY, offers a range of residential smart locks, including the Wi-Fi-enabled Halo series. DoorBird is developed by Bird Home Automation, a Berlin-based company that manufactures IP video door stations and access control systems.
